Gluing the Bridge :
The latest video from John. In this video he will cover the major aspects of gluing an ebony bridge to a complted and finished guitar body. A few of the topics are preping, marking, locating, scribing, clamping, cleanup, and more.
Cutaways:
In this video he will cover the major aspects and differences between construction of a cutaway and non-cutaway. Things that are different will be shown. This includes side bending, lining, rim assembly, binding, full mitering of cutaway top binding/purfling, and much more.
Closing the Box:
In previous videos The subject of gluing the top and back to the rim was not covered. I've been asked many times to do a video on this subject so at long last here it is! In this video we will box up a guitar using a go bar deck. We will cover notching of the lining; basic go bar deck construction; fitting, cauls, and gluing of the plates.
Advanced Voicing:
John's best selling DVD. In this video John takes 4 tops of different species, and sculpts them to 4 different tonal objectives. He walks you through the decisions and tap tuning that arrive at the finished top. A must have for any luthier.

Binding:
John walks you through the process of doing a pro binding job. You'll see the jigs, and fixtures used to create the binding ledges. Also covered is prep work, mitres, installing binding, and cleanup.

Neck Setting and Double Mortise and Tenon Neck Joint:
This video covers setting a neck angles, as well as a advanced double mortise and tenon neck joint that completely bolts on and off in under 3 minutes.
Voicing 101:
This video walks you through the basics of bracing a guitar. It covers a wide range of topics from making braces, gluing braces, brace positioning, cleaning up around braces, bridge plates and selection, scooping edges, jigs, and a intro to tap tuning.

Bridge Making:
John shows you how to make a Belly style Acoustic bridge from ebony from start to finish. You'll see every process, and the tools used to create it along the way.

Neck Making:
Also a very popular DVD. In this 2 disc set you will see and learn how to build a 5 piece laminate neck, fretboard, headplate, inlay for an acoustic guitar. A lot of information here!
Inlay:
In this video you will see John cut, and ingrave a celtic horse inlay into a fretboard. He will walk you though material selection, cutting, tracing, inlaying, and clean-up of the inlay, and then finish it off with some light engraving.
Please note the following three dvd's are not as near of high quality as the previous ones. The picture is fine, but the sound quality is low. You will need to turn up you're TV to hear it better, but once you've turned up the volume then there is nothing lacking. These were the first three DVD's John ever made before investing thousands into new equipment.
Tops and Backs:
In this video John takes a top, and back set and processes them into a finish top and back ready for bracing. Joining and gluing of plates, layout, thickening, backstrips, jigs, and rosette inlaying are covered.

Rims:
In this video John takes the bent sides and progresses them into a completed rim ready to have the top and back glued on. Making blocks, routing mortise slots, kerfing, end grafts, and more are shown.
